About me
Heather Scott, FNP-C, IFMCP
A functional medicine Nurse Practitioner in Salt Lake City, FNP-C and IFMCP trained in Utah, with a partnership-based approach to Functional and Integrative Medicine. If you have been looking for a functional medicine provider near you, this is how I work.

I am a Family Nurse Practitioner from Westminster University and a certified Functional Medicine Practitioner through IFM. My passion is to heal the gut, balance hormones, and personalize your treatment.
My focus is to help people live life to their fullest potential. I use lifestyle interventions including exercise, diet, sleep, and stress management to help create behavior changes. I incorporate personalized plans which look at the primary causes of health concerns with the goal to improve the overall health and wellness of my patients. I focus on gut health. I treat many conditions including hormone imbalances, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, fatigue, inflammation, chronic pain, and mood disorders.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and getting outdoors. My interests include traveling, hiking, camping, cooking, biking, and paddle boarding. I also enjoy volunteering and educating children on the joy of healthy cooking and healthy lifestyles.
My approach is holistic in the practical sense of the word. Nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, hormones, and lab findings are all considered together, because they influence one another, and a plan that ignores any of them tends not to hold. Functional and integrative medicine give me the tools for that kind of whole-person care, always alongside your primary care provider rather than in place of them.
